Problem: Executing strategic goals is by far the greatest challenge in business today. Aligning the organization with your most important objectives is a never - ending battle. In fact, research shows that business execution breaks down due to lack of alignment toward superior goals at various levels of organizations. There are too many goals and the confusion about how to achieve them. Even when people know the goals they have no idea what actions will get them the results. Whatever actions they take there is no structured way of providing timely feedback. People are not held accountable. Execution of workplace projects is challenged due to lack of Leadership Skills amongst Leaders, Lack or Ownership amongst Employees.

Learning Solution: The “Execution Skills” Workshop provides the principles, tools and business skills training necessary to execute flawlessly again and again. It is a hands- on workshop where Participants create their own goals and measures relevant to the organization's priorities and develop skills to identify and execute critical work goals. They also create personal motivating scoreboards and apply personal accountability to produce results.

DEALING WITH DIFFICULT PEOPLE

Problem: There are people or colleagues at work who consistently trigger others. They don’t listen, they take credit for work others have done, they waste others time with trivial issues. They act like they know-it-all? They can only talk about themselves, they constantly criticize! It is difficult at times even to have a meaningful conversation with such people. Dealing with difficult people can be challenging, and doing it effectively calls for specific skills. Under a stressful situation even ordinarily reasonable people can turn into an opponent.

Learning Solution: The “Dealing with Difficult People” Workshop provides three Critical skills that are required to not only deal with difficult people but prepares the participants to collaborate with such people. The techniques learned in the workshop enables the participants to do the required homework for the interaction with difficult people. The participants are able to deal with the issues of Disagreement, Emotional issues as well as Identity issues that usually come up. They are able to learn different perspectives, express fully with respect and resolve the differences with others.

PERFORMANCE COACHING

Problem: The Primary job of any manager is Performance Management, the process by which managers and employees work together to plan, monitor and review an employee’s work objectives and overall contribution to the organization. Ideally it be a continuous process of setting objectives, assessing progress and providing on going coaching and feedback to ensure that employees are meeting their objectives and career goals. A major drawback is the lack of coaching at workplace. The employees either get a rebuke by the manager for not doing the job or the manager does the problem solving. As a result, employees are not able to stretch themselves to try out something new. Managers more often than not indulge in performance review conversations rather than coaching conversations.

Learning Solution: The “Performance Coaching” Workshop based on the growth model of Coaching provides the process and the skills required for a manager to coach employees at the workplace. This intervention enables the participant to get the Coach Mindset. They are able to coach both proactively as well as reactively. The workshop also skills the participants in critical coaching skills such as having a coach presence, questioning, Listening. They will be able to do ‘In the Moment Coaching’ at the workplace.

Problem: Change is around us every day, the organization is in a state of continual change, whether it is a large-scale restructure or a small process improvement or desk move. Yet, about 70 percent of all change initiatives fail in the corporate world. Managers don’t diagnose the right cause for a problem, simplistic solutions are offered which don’t last long. The team and the individual dynamics of the issues related to change (emotional reactions to change or team stage) are not given enough focus.

They have to work together in the context of Diverse and competing objectives, work with limited resources and hold people accountable who are not under their authority. Managers struggle to influence others about what the reality is or what should be the objective, how the work should get executed? People lack clarity as to what needs to be done. Managers find it very difficult to hold people accountable.

Likewise, ideas, endeavors, and even careers can be cut short due to ineffective communication. Out of the millions of presentations delivered each day, only a small percentage are delivered well. Most managers struggle to organize their fragmented thoughts and data into a coherent, persuasive message. They find it tough to connect with customers they’re wooing, senior executives they’re hitting up for funding, or employees they’re training.

  • Modern day managers are responsible for managing the information and data that emanates from various sources. Day to day decision making is dependent upon analysing the data and presenting it to the senior managers.
  • This process also includes looking at the width and depth of issues. Organisations need to adapt methods of collective thinking which are standardised and yes allows space for individual inputs.
  • The Impact Critical thinking Skills workshop offers a comprehensive model which facilitates critical thinking. This model focuses on two distinct stages. The initial stage which focuses on Idea generation, classification and prioritising issues which needs further investigation. The later stage phase focuses on methods which allows the learner to dwell deep into an issue.

Developing the Analytical skills - Developing the Analytical skills of the target audience through an instructor led classroom workshop. The participants should be able to independently analyse the issues and also add further value than analysis to their presentations/recommendations.
